Celebrating Defenders Of Women’s Rights
 

To honour and celebrate the work done by countless social workers, activists, professionals and volunteers towards the betterment of women's lives, Prajnya is hosting a free, public Carnatic music concert. We will recognize and spotlight the work of four Chennai organizations in the area of women's rights.

S.Sowmya, eminent vocalist, has consented to perform. BU Ganesh Prasad and Neyveli Narayanan will accompany her.

A Creative Writing Workshop
 

The process of writing can become a personal vehicle of expression. The creative writing workshop will allow participants to conflate the personal with the political, and re-frame and personalise their notions of gender and gender violence.

The reading conceives of poetry as providing a particular lens through which the social world can be understood and as a medium of cultural intervention in political processes.
